I am currently in my final year studying computing in the Institute of Technology Tallaght. I have learned a lot over the course of time I have been studying here and have obtained some invaluable skills. I have learned how to write in many languages such as, java, C# and C++. I have keen interest and passion for software developement and I am excited to prove myself in the industry. I have worked in many team projects in college and even had the opportunity to do work experience for six months. Beyond computing, I have worked in shops and a bar where I learned a lot about customer service and communicating.
As part of my third year work placement, I worked at adecsys for six months. I learned so much here. I learned about how to create web applications and Android mobile applications. I used react, react-native, Javascript and Gulp. I created shell scripts to automate the setup of the project. I learned a lot about test driven design and the importance of writing clean code.
I worked as a bartender at a busy restaurant and I obtained great experience in working fast.
I worked as a shop keeper where I learned a lot about customer service and communication.

As part of my fourth year project, I created an IOS mobile application. I created it using react-native which enabled me to write it entirely in JavaScript. The application lets you record walking routes through GPS which then can be uploaded for all users of the app to see. I also wrote the server-end with php. I learned a lot such as researching and time management.
As part of a third year project I created a plagarism detector in which I received an A for. The plagarism detector was written in C+ and checked through c++ files. The percentage of the file that was plagarised would be displayed.
As part of my second year project, I created a stock control system. It was written in Java. I also worked with two other people which was great experience.
